The Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, visited yesterday Libia for a meeting with Muammar Gaddafi, just two days after U.S. restored diplomatic relations with this african country.
I'm glad to be here in Libya to strengthen bilateral relations… to maintain the price of oil," Mr Chavez told reporters.
He said that there is a fair oil price and that his visit is a symbol to strenghten their commintments amid the group of oil-producing nations, Opec, which next meeting is in Caracas on 1 June.
